  Meeting Place Sam Bucas Restaurant-Time 630pm

 President Jimbo opened the meeting but had to leave to attend the EW Community Day meeting. Clark informed the group that he is working on this years float ( a turkey with speed) some suggested we could dress as turkeys.

    Many dollars were donated to our treasury via happy and sad dollars( a lot of Football money).

 Treasury Sandy announced Margaret won $51.00 on the Queen of Hearts and presented her the check. Sandy also reported that as of 12/18/07 the treasury had 1727.31 in it

    John Fitzgerald our website master (kudos to John) discussed what we have have and was looking for committee chairs and members  to add to it ie: Foundation Chairs could update thier section/Public relations could do pictures events reports -etc.

    VP Dave reported a discussion was had about committees and what committees there are. We do have base committees such as Foundation,adminstration,fundraising and community,international,membership,rotaract and water project.

      There are a few more that as we grow we can add committees as we need them ie; Investigative Committee on needs at Broad Brook Library(Pres. Formed committee)

Farm Fest Committee(a sub committee of Fundraising)

Gala Committee(a sub committee of Fundraising)

Peddlers Bazaar(a sub committee of fundraising)

Macys Cards(Pres. Formed Committee)

Community Day(sub committee of community committee)

Harvest for the Hungry(a sub committee of community committee)

   THIS WEEKS SPEAKER - Board meeting all members are urged to attend

    Attendence-Did You know that while Rotary meets every week that if You attend Twice a month You Are a Rotarian in Good Standing.

 Events Etc.

  Feb 9th   EW "Winter Festival" 12n-3pm /we will be having a booth

                other activities happening ice skating,face painting,bounce house,DJ

                Held at Osborne Field (this is an outdoor activity)

 May 10th  EW Community Day -Parade Float and Booth (road race food face

                 painting etc) exact times to come but probally 9-10 parade/11 booth
