 Treasurer Sandy spoke on Flower Power sales of bulbs etc.

 We stand to make 50% of what we sell. Turn in date 4/08 with delivery between 4/18-20.

 

  Our Plant Sale Chairs Michelle and Margaret are off to a great start with flyers made and use of our website(thanks John) to order from. There will be a pickup on 5/9 at Spring Street in the afternoon with other pickups on 5/10 at Community Day.

 

    President Elect David reported on PETS and discovered that Rotary has changes the process for Membership( I have been a Rotarian too long ) Steps:

 

    1) Complete Part A of Membership Form

   2) Submit to Board of Directors via Secretary(don't inform prospective member of application Until Board Approves.They have 30 days to respond.)

    3) If Approved by Board proposer has an informational meeting to explain to proposed member about membership and have them sign Part B of proosal form.

    4) Published the Proposed member's name and classification to to the club.

    5) Club members have 7days to file consider and file written  objections( If any objections are filed with the board the board it shall vote on this matter at the next board meeting.If approved despite the objection see Step 6)

   6) Once approve that person upon payment of admission fee shall be considered elected to membership.

  

 

    

Membership Note- Did you invite someone to visit and check out the World of Rotary?

 Attendence- Remember to be a Rotarian in good standing You must make at least 2 meetings per month.

 May 10th  EW Community Day -Parade Float and Booth (road race food face painting etc) exact times to come but probally 9-10 parade/11 booth (We will have our games and a Plant sale)

June 24th Volunteer of the Year,Changing of Officers          

   Speakers Coming:    

       3/25 John Pica-Sneeden Chairman EW Board of Education

      4/01 Margaret Executive Director of Independent Transportation Network

        Many Dates are open for speakers from now till June/Do you know someone who would make agreat Rotarian but don't know how to get them to join/Ask them to come as speaker.
