BBRC Enews -Events & Meeting 12/11/07

   Prez Jimbo  opened on time with His Gavel..He really missed It.

   Treasurer Sandy reported that we have 1700 in the treasury but reminded those that paid half year will be billed shortly for the remainder.

  Membership Chair Joan Richards reports that old members that are not attending have been contacted and resolved.Several of the New Rotarians have been contacted and we hope they will be joining in Jan.

 Vp Dave spoke that the Funraisin Committe met and several new projects are on the table but the committee needs to prepare to meet with the Board.

  Our Speaker John Sheirer read some excerpts from his older book and was quite good. John promised when his new book(due out in the spring)he would be glad to come and speak again.

 Speaking of speakers VP Dave is starting on the next six months with dates in Jan & Feb getting filled. If you know of a speaker contact 644 2517(daves office)

 Attendence Reminders-

  1) You need make only 2 meetings a month (not 4 missed in a row ) and paid your dues(year or half year ) to be a rotarian in good standing.(if you paid half year the next installment is in Jan 08 )

 2) M embers with problems attendingshould contact Prez Jimbo at 221 8821 or Membership Chairman Joan at 644 2517  so we can work on a solution which could be transfer to another club ,extended leave af abscence  with makeups etc.

 3) If members are planning not to continue we must know be the Dec 31 to advoid billing for those members in June 2008.

  A Thought- Any person who is honest,fair,tolerant,kindly and charitable of others and well behaved is a success,no matter what thier station in life.
